Charles Jenkins’ “He’ll Make It Alright” #1 On Billboard Gospel Airplay

Global spiritual leader, thought provoker and celebrated GRAMMY-recognized, Stellar Award-winning artist Charles Jenkins celebrates his fourth #1 single on Billboard’s Gospel National Airplay chart with, “He’ll Make It Alright” (Charles Jenkins & Fellowship of Chicago). Fresh off the release of his new book, SEASONS: How To Grow And Succeed During Times Of Transition, the #1 single marks his 14th Billboard honor. Jenkins’ SEASONS is available now on Amazon.com and at CharlesJenkins.com; the single “He’ll Make It Alright” is available on all major digital streaming and retail outlets.

The newly dubbed #1 Billboard National Gospel Airplay single “He’ll Make It Alright” features Jenkins’ signature vocals, progressive instrumentation and serves as a simple reminder during the Pandemic that “everything will be alright.” The accompanied visual showcases a celebration of how to celebrate and dance through any storm of life. Following, “He’ll Make It Alright” will be Charles Jenkins’ spin on the GRAMMY winning 80’s classic, “Never Knew Love Like This Before.”

Charles Jenkins exclusively shared with Billboard, “Number one means your message in the music is being spread widely! That’s the joy! In such a complex time in history I am excited to write an uplifting song to remind people of God’s ability and faithfulness. I’m also so grateful to work with so many amazing individuals including people like radio promoter, Tracey Artis, who I am forever grateful to for her impetuous friendship, constant excellence and her super human drive for good in the world.”

SEASONS by Charles Jenkins seeks to give readers clear direction on any transition in their lives. After serving as pastor for two decades, Jenkins made the difficult decision to retire from full-time ministry and dive into other areas of his life. His decision to retire full time from the pulpit sparked 48-hours of trending questions on social media – “Is your season in this role over?” “What season of life are you in?” and “How do you know when it’s time to leave?” In SEASONS, Jenkins provides answers to the questions. The stories and principles leap off of the pages, as he inspires people to consider that they might be on the verge of a new season. SEASONS describes concrete practices that help people take the next step in the various seasons of transition that life will offer.

Charles Jenkins is celebrated as a man of faith, connector, deal maker, problem solver, community builder, entrepreneur, humanitarian and friend. For over two decades he served as the Senior Pastor of the historic Fellowship Baptist Church in Chicago. His socially relevant and impactful services drew thousands of new members, while he implemented and championed dynamic life-changing community-based programming. Jenkins is also a multi award-winning songwriter and acclaimed gospel artist with GRAMMY recognition, 14 Billboard #1 honors, 9 Stellar Gospel Music Awards, and more. He is a member of Morehouse College’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Board of Scholars and Preachers. Jenkins is married to accomplished speaker and author Dr. Tara Rawls Jenkins and together they parent 3 children.

“I have witnessed the music and ministry of Charles Jenkins for many years and every round of his career is filled with music that captivates audiences worldwide. I am proud to have had the opportunity to promote his music and to work alongside him,” shares Tracey Artis, founder of promotions and marketing firm, I Hear Music In The Air, Inc.

GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter Tasha Cobbs Leonard has been named Billboard’s Top Gospel Artist of the Decade. News of the top honor came late last week, as Billboard began announcing its year-end and decade-end charts. Cobbs Leonard was also named the Top Female Gospel Artist for the 3rd consecutive year.

This year alone, Tasha Cobbs Leonard earned two additional RIAA certifications—one Platinum certification for her hit single “Break Every Chain,” and a Gold certification (her third) for the #1 radio single “You Know My Name.” She was also awarded highest honors as Gospel Artist of the Year at the 51st Annual GMA Dove Awards and Artist of the Year at the 35th Annual Stellar Awards.

On December 4, Tasha Cobbs Leonard was a special guest on the Dolly Parton & Friends Christmas special presented by SiriusXM & Pandora. A huge honor to be invited by the legendary country singer, she performed her rendition of the Christmas classic “O Holy Night.” The audio version of the special will be available exclusively on Pandora on Friday, December 11.

Earlier this month, the powerhouse vocalist took to the stage with R&B legend Ne-Yo for a memorable performance of “The Christmas Song” for the Our OWN Christmas Special. The special aired on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network on December 1, but can still be viewed on the network website.

Tasha Cobbs Leonard’s current single, “In Spite Of Me,” has already rocketed to the Top 20 on the BDS Gospel Radio chart, proving to be the fastest-rising single of her career. Tasha Cobbs Leonard’s New Album Debuts At No. 1

GRAMMY-winning artist/songwriter Tasha Cobbs Leonard has debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart with her newest album, Royalty: Live at The Ryman. The acclaimed new project, accompanied by striking live performance videos, is already being called the singer’s most vulnerable and mature recording to date.

Last night, executives from Motown Gospel also surprised Tasha with news that her debut album, Grace, had been certified Gold by the RIAA, having sold over 500,000 album equivalents. Released in 2013, Grace is a fan favorite, yielding hits such as “For Your Glory,” and the career-launching “Break Every Chain,” which earned a GRAMMY and was certified Platinum (with over 1 million song equivalents) last year.

Recorded before “an audience of One”, Royalty: Live at the Ryman features standout hits “Pour It Out” and “Release The Sound,” as well as the lead single, “In Spite of Me.” Guest artists on the project include longtime friend and collaborator Kierra Sheard as well as popular family band We The Kingdom. Throughout the 17-track project, Tasha merges her country, bluegrass and gospel music roots to present an authentic worship experience.

KB Reaches Top 5 With ‘His Glory Alone’ Album

His Glory Alone, the blazing personal statement from chart topping, award winning hip-hop artist KB, has enjoyed a successful first week on the charts. The album slotted in at No. 3 on the Contemporary Christian Albums Chart, and sits at No. 4 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums Chart. KB’s new album contains some of his most raw and uninhibited work to date, displaying unfiltered emotion regarding the anguish of racial injustice, colorism, and systemic subjugation.

The Tampa, Florida native draws directly from intimate experiences of struggle, strife, and redemption to create an album that reflects the urgency of our times. KB is a No. 1 hitmaker, receiving critical acclaim for his five studio releases with three No.1s on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart, top 5 appearances on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums Chart, and placement on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart.

The hip hop artist and entrepreneur celebrated his fifth Dove Award nomination earlier last month, as “Armies” was nominated for Rap / Hip Hop Recorded Song of the Year. In addition to music, KB has stepped into the role of creative visionary for his clothing business Native Supply, and as host and co-producer for the faith and culture podcast Southside Rabbi, which is now in its second season.
